Happy 2015 everyone!! Here’s to a year of endless possibilities, divine guidance, superhuman strength, and as always, ADVENTURE! Last night as we watched the fireworks glitter down onto the waves, we sat on the beach and reflected on what our New Year’s intention was going to be. Instead of choosing something to give up, we love the tradition of adding something deeply beneficial and challenging to enhance our lives and invigorate the fresh, new year ahead!

With all of the unknowns we have to anticipate in the coming months, we decided that the best thing we could do for the New Year was set an intention to confidently trust life, knowing that where it guides us, it will provide. A bit different from the typical resolution, and while we will of course always be working on strengthening relationships, staying healthy and learning new skills, this one just felt like the right thing for us to focus on as we embark on the fearlessly inspired, nomadic journey that will be 2015.

Now whaaaaat is that? Well, on a recent trip to Sedona, we had the pleasure of going on a Mystical Vortex Tour where we learned about copper healing chambers, among other things, and their ability to accumulate prana, or “life-giving force,” amplifying people’s experiences of meditation and conscious intention when inside it. Translation, it’s a really cool device!

This incredible looking contraption was built by Mark Griffon, our kind and knowledgeable tour guide, and while this was all very new to us, he did a great job explaining everything in as comprehensive a way as possible. His home was filled and surrounded by beautiful things, creating a spiritual vortex of his very own:

Shortly after touring his home, we hopped into his adventure mobile and he proceeded to take us to, what he explains as, some of the most potently concentrated energy fields in the Sedona area, giving us a taste of the Vortex Phenomena, and ultimately reconnecting us with the energetic nurturance of Mother Earth’s natural electro-magnetic fields… stay with us here:

Now, it’s important to note that if you are new to the ideas and practices of mysticism, as we were, you must be willing to step outside of your box and open your mind. The part we enjoyed most about The Coyote Tour was the fact that we had the chance to slow down and appreciate the incredible place we were in. Generally running up peaks, mountain biking across valleys and racing to our next destination, this slow paced spiritual journey was definitely different, and because of that, special in its own unique way.

Mark explains Sedona as a lightning rod, or connecting point, for many multiple dimensions, he and many Sedonites, see it as a funnel for the incoming energies and a force field for healing, unique to any other place in the world. Visiting landmarks like Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, the airport vortex and more, the focus of The Coyote Tour was to reconnect us with our core selves, removing blocks which can cloud our path in life, and providing guided ceremonies to bring us into a fuller harmonic resonance with the landscape… and what a beautiful landscape it was:

The tour took about 6 hours and with Sedona having so many incredible “hot spots” to explore, we could have continued on for days. Mark was extremely generous with his time, making us feel comfortable every step of the way. It was a great experience, perfect for someone looking for a new perspective on life, or perhaps interested in making a mark on their own unique healing journey.
